Are you going into first year? Lots of questions? Not to worry! The Tri-Mentoring Program is here to help with your transition into university. First year students are mentored by upper year students providing support to culturally and linguistically diverse students with adjustment to university and the world of work. Once in the program, second and third year students continue to develop leadership skills and participate in mentoring activities. Third and fourth year students are mentored by professionals in industry.

The Senate consists of 51 elected representatives of the faculty, librarians, students and alumni, and 18 ex-officio members of the administration, including the Chancellor. ASB Ryerson is an entirely student-run and locally operated group. ASB can be simply described as traveling with a purpose. Ryerson students volunteer their time and work in developing countries while they experience and learn from another culture. The program is open to all faculties, giving you an opportunity to learn from other team members’ perspectives as well as your own experience on the project. ASB requires dedication, enthusiasm and hard work, but is exciting and life-changing not only for you, but for those you will be helping overseas. It inspires and challenges you every day, while altering your perceptions of this world and your place in it. ASB is simply an amazing experience.

Come sing with us this school year! Meet new friends! Have fun! Exercise your brain (we all know that music improves the connections in the brain). The Oakham House Choir of Ryerson University is one of the few Toronto choirs that perform with a professional orchestra – the Toronto Sinfonietta. We have about 70+ members including Ryerson students as well as alumni, Ryerson faculty and staff and community members. The Choir was founded in 1986. It is led by music director Matthew Jaskiewicz and specializes in large choral masterworks. Don't be put off - you don't have to be a diva - we welcome students of all abilities who love music! We are supportive and friendly and you will be a confident chorister in no time. We will perform at two main concerts this school year - November 30, 2013 and April 26, 2014. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings at Oakham House, 63 Gould Street, from 7 pm to 9 pm. Check our website for the date of our first rehearsal in September. Questions? Please send us an email.
