Financial Assistance

    Bursary for Students With Disabilities (BSWD)

    Provides up to $10,000. for disability related equipment and services per year.

    Procedure
    Important Application Dates / Deadlines

    May 15, 2012 - Last  day to submit bursary applications for the Spring  semester

    July 3, 2012 - Last day to submit bursary applications for the Summer or Spring/Summer semester

    • Apply for OSAP (check with Student Financial Assistance for deadlines).
    • Meet with your accommodation facilitator to discuss needs.
    • Fill out BSWD application form (top section and sign bottom)
    • Gather quotes (see quote guidelines).
    • Submit completed BSWD application form and quotes to accommodation facilitator.
      Facilitator reviews quotes, completes application, submits to Student Financial Assistance
    • Cheque and instructions arrive in mail to address on application.
    • Purchase equipment within 30 days (if applic.)
    • Submit the receipts to Student Financial Assistance
      All other dates to be announced.

          Tuition Rebate

          • If you have a reduced course load as part of your accommodation, you may receive a tuition rebate for the additional cost of courses to complete your program.
          • Apply for the tuition rebate when you apply to graduate. Please note that you must pass a course for it to be included in the tuition rebate.
          • Pick up a tuition rebate form from the Access Centre and complete the student section (section A) of the form.
          • Submit your tuition rebate form to the Access Centre no later than the deadline to apply to graduate in order to allow time for processing.
          • The Access Centre will complete section C and submit it on your behalf.
