SHIFT is Ryerson's first-year transition program for students with learning disabilities and/or ADHD. It is a dynamic, holistic, and free program, and open to students attending any university. The program is designed to orient students to post-secondary education, provide learning strategies and the opportunity to develop social connections.

SHIFT Week at Ryerson - July 22 - 26, 2013.

Students stay for a week in residence, acclimatizing to on-campus life and meal plans;
Students are guided through themed, skill-building activities, including Knowing Yourself, Academic Strategies, Skills for Success, Assistive Technologies and Self-Advocacy;
In the evenings, students experience a variety of social activities, furthering their new friendships and orientation to downtown Toronto.
SHIFT Day - Aug. 21, 2013
Interested in getting acclimated to the Ryerson campus but can't spend a week with us? SHIFT Day is the program for you. We will spend the day on campus informing you about the services and programs available.
Portage Algonquin Park- Aug. 14-16, 2013
Students can participate in a three-day experiential camping trip in Algonquin Park. Students are guided through self-reflection, goal-setting activities and team-building events to help with the transition into first year.
