ELS Soap Cast

The ELS Soap is a series of soap opera episodes (podcasts) based on the lives of 5 international students at Ryerson University who are new to Canada and trying to make sense of life here. The episodes present how students cope with everyday experiences such as trying to communicate in English, understanding a different culture, making some friends, and having a good time.

The ELS Soap proposal was accepted for the Ryerson DMP Technology and Teaching Projects 2006-2007. This initiative was recognized for its potential in enhancing the practice of learning and teaching at Ryerson.

We would like to thank Stephanie Goetz of Digital Media Projects (DMP) at Ryerson for her guidance and the sharing of her expertise.
A big thank you to the 2006-2007 ELS student staff for all their hard work. Student staff members were script writers, actors, audio editors, and photographers. The 2006-2007 ELS team:
