About Us

General Profile

Most people think of residence as a place to live close to class during their first year of university. We have to disagree. Living in residence is so much more than a convenient place to sleep for the night! Residence is your chance to flourish within a community; the Ryerson community.

Whether this is your first time away from home or another step in your education, the opportunities in residence are endless. Student Housing Services can connect you with people in your community through social and academic events. There are activities and programs designed to help you discover more about yourself and the culture of your peers. We'll work with you to find your most successful path through your academic studies. Ryerson and residence give you loads to explore!

Valerie Bruce
Communications and Residence Service Desk Facilitator

The Communications and Residence Service Desk Facilitator is responsible for all aspects of customer service in the Student Housing Services office and off campus housing.The Communications and Residence Service Desk Facilitator is also responsible for the 24-Hour Residence Service Desks.



Chris Prucnal
Financial Officer

The Financial Officer is responsible for all financial aspects of Student Housing Services.


Jenny Owens
Residence Marketing and Assignments Coordinator


The Residence Marketing and Assignments Coordinator (RMAC) is responsible for all marketing and information materials as well as all Residence Assignments functions.


Jen Gonzales
Residence Life and Education Coordinator 

The Residence Life and Education Coordinator (RLEC) is responsible for all aspects of Residence Life. The RLEC is responsible for student discipline, directing residence life programming, residence academic initiatives and ultimately coordinating all the student-staff in the Residence.


Debbie Lamch
Maintenance and Operations Supervisor

The Maintenance and Operations Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the Residence Facilities including maintenance, cleaning and facilities planning.




Chad Nuttall

Manager, Student Housing Services

The Housing Manager is responsible for all aspects of Student Housing Services. This includes: Facilities, Assignments & Admissions, Residence Life, Operations, Finance and Off-Campus Housing.
