Student Housing Services - Student Consultation Committee (SHS-SCC)
Want to voice you opinion? Do you enjoy helping others have their voice heard? Then the Student Housing Services - Student Consultation Committee is for you!
The Student Housing Services – Student Consultation Committee (SHS-SCC) is just one way SHS consults students to better inform strategic and policy decisions within the operation. Other consultations include: Town Hall Meetings, Residence Surveys and meetings with the Residence Council. The SHS-SCC provides a tremendous leadership opportunity for those interested in having a direct impact on Student Housing Services. Student Housing Services will, in practice consult with the SHS-SCC as outlined in this document. This committee is an opportunity for two-way exchange of information about the operation of Student Housing Services.
Student Housing Services will consult with SHS-SCC when considering major questions. The SHS-SCC provides students with an opportunity to dialog with SHS decision makers on major matters pertaining to SHS. SHS and the SHS-SCC will work together to establish the issues on which consultation will be
sought.
Membership
The SHS-SCC membership will be composed of elected members representing specific constituencies.
The composition of the membership is as follows:
- 1 First Year Student from O’Keefe House
- 1 First Year Student from ILLC
- 1 First Year Student from Pitman Hall
- 1 Residence Council member
- 1 Residence Advisor
- 1 Academic Link
- 1 Residence Service Desk Agent
- Manager, Student Housing Services (or
designate)
Due to the importance of the information being discussed at these meetings full-time staff employed in SHS will be invited when appropriate.
