Ryerson Sports and Recreation Centre

The new Ryerson University Sports and Recreation Centre will be built at Maple Leaf Gardens. The redevelopment at the Gardens will supplement Ryerson’s current athletic facility and provide students and the local community with nearly 150,000 square feet of new sports and recreation space, including an NHL-sized hockey rink.

The Government of Canada is contributing $20 million toward the new sports and recreation centre. Another $20 million will be provided through student athletic fees, and the final $20 million will be raised by Ryerson and Loblaw through a joint fundraising campaign, including a $5 million contribution from Loblaw. The total cost of the project is $60 million.

Student Learning Centre

The new Student Learning Centre (SLC) on Yonge Street will offer students a spectacular space to study and interact. The Centre will be the University's gateway onto Yonge Street and will act as a catalyst for change and renewal in the surrounding neighbourhood.
