NEW First-Time Donor’s Super Credit

We are excited to share with you a new enhanced tax incentive that was announced in the 2013 federal budget. This new initiative provides the opportunity for first-time donors to receive an extra 25-per-cent tax credit for cash donations up to a maximum of $1,000. This new credit would give first-time charitable donors a 40-per-cent federal credit for the first $200 or less and a 54 per cent credit for amounts between $200 and $1,000. This super credit will be available until 2017.
