DONOR SOCIETIES

Egerton Ryerson Society
Established in May 2002, the Egerton Ryerson Society recognizes individuals who have made a planned gift to the university. The Society is named after the university’s namesake, Egerton Ryerson, a prominent 19th century Canadian who played an influential role in the fields of politics, religion, arts, sciences and education. Ryerson helped establish Toronto’s first teacher’s college in the mid 1800s. Located at Church and Gould it was referred to as "the cradle of Ontario's education system.” The building’s 1851 façade sits in the heart of the campus in the Ryerson Quad.

Ryerson Blue & Gold Society
The Ryerson Blue & Gold Society recognizes our most loyal and generous Annual Fund supporters. Within the society, you can be a member within two giving circles:

Blue Circle recognizes donors who make annual gifts for five consecutive years or more. This circle celebrates the generosity of donors at any level of giving.

Gold Circle recognizes donors whose annual gifts are $750* or more. Members in this circle are a leading group of alumni and friends who provide vital annual support to Ryerson.

*Alumni who have graduated within the last five years can join the Gold Circle with an annual contribution of $250.
