School Council

The School Council is comprised of Faculty members and student representatives. It is the principal official body where matters of mutual concern are discussed, and it is also responsible for approving changes to the programme which appear in the University Calendar. It meets at least four times each year on Tuesdays between 4:00 and 6:00 pm. One student representative and alternative are elected for each year of the programme. Elections usually take place in the second week of classes of the Fall term. Names of each year's representative and alternative, their phone numbers and e-mail addresses should be forwarded to the Director immediately after the election.

Advisory Committee

An Advisory Committee, made up of representatives from the community assists us in shaping the programme to meet emerging needs in planning and planning-related fields. A list of current members will be forthcoming.

Ryerson Association of Planning Students (RAPS)

This association represents students in many capacities. They organize orientation activities for incoming students, social events during the school year and, on a more serious note, constitute ad hoc committees as needed to deal with specific student concerns. In addition, RAPS produces a newsletter, The Minor Variance, at least three times per year.
