Undergraduate Program Information

What we're looking for...

We're looking for people who are fascinated by cities and regions and who have an interest in knowing more about how they are shaped and function. We welcome high school students as well as individuals who have already been working, and/or those who have degrees from other institutions. Many of our current students come to us from other universities and earn their degree here to complement and enhance their previous studies. We like to see applicants who have already demonstrated their interest in communities through volunteer or work experiences, and through projects they have undertaken. Examples of volunteer experience could include ecologically-based activities such as working at the Niagara Escarpment or cleaning up greenspaces; other examples could also include doing traffic counts for various cities, or working in a seniors' home to understand housing developments.

Students entering through the PLAB/PLAD program streams must take CVUP 100 in the summer prior to first semester in Fall.  You can view the 2012 course outline here: CVUP 100
