Ryerson Association of Planning Students Logo

Hello and welcome to the Ryerson Association of Planning Students (RAPS) section of the School of Urban and Regional Planning (SURP) website. RAPS is the course union affiliate of the Ryerson Student Union (RSU) that represents undergraduate Urban and Regional Planning students at Ryerson. We were elected to represent the interests of the SURP student body.

As a course union, we are committed to creating a strong urban and regional planning community on our campus by organizing a variety of diverse events where planning students of all years learn, laugh, work and grow together. We strive to increase the opportunity for all students to take part in the coordination and implementation of our events through design and event planning committees. We also encourage contributions of innovative ideas through various methods of social media so that we can plan events that have something for everyone.

Events we have held thus far include pub-nights and socials, networking events, interschool competitions, games nights, workshops, and speaker series. We are also in the process of initiating lounge improvements for our communal work and study space on the third floor of the Bond St. building where we hope to add vibrancy and character to our tight-knit community. We are more than happy to address any questions, concerns, or comments you may have as a current or prospective student, and we are 100% dedicated to serving our members to the best of our ability.
