Dear colleagues:

As you know, Departmental Appointments Committees have concluded the year by carrying out year-end assessments of probationary faculty in their departments.

In some cases, especially as probationers near their tenure review, they decide to respond to the year-end assessment report they have received from their DAC. There is a six week timeline for them to provide their response, if they chose to submit one.

We have received an expression that due to conflicting schedules, a number of faculty members who are in their fourth year and heading towards their final tenure review this fall wish to submit a response to their DACs, but need some additional time. As a result, we have agreed to allow these faculty members until the first week of September to submit a response to their fourth year year-end assessment.
