Faculty Course Survey Mobile Pilot Project: Looking for Volunteers (March 5, 2013)

Dear Faculty Member,

We would like to invite volunteers to participate in a pilot project on using the FCS Mobile application during the Faculty Course Survey (FCS) in-class evaluation. The FCS Mobile application was developed by CCS for the use on mobile devices and tablets. It was introduced to the students in Winter 2012. Together with other Ryerson Mobile applications, it can be accessed via the following URL: m.ryerson.ca. The application requires Ryerson authentication to log in.

Since Winter 2012, during the Faculty Course Survey on-line evaluation period, the students have been given 2 options to access their on-line surveys: via Blackboard (my.ryerson.ca) or via Ryerson Mobile (m.ryerson.ca). The behavior of the FCS Mobile application has been monitored and no issues were found.

Should you agree to participate in this pilot project, you will administer the Winter 2013 Faculty Course Survey using the FCS Mobile application. You will ask your students to fill out the on-line surveys using their mobile devices while they are in the classroom.

If you wish to participate, please send us an email to vpfa@ryerson.ca by Friday, March 8, 2013. We will contact you shortly after with the details.
