Dear Chairs/Directors:

As you may be aware the new RFA collective agreement includes a provision confirming that per diem reimbursement for University Travel is allowable. This changes the provision in the Business Travel Policy-Procedure that had disallowed per diems based on provincial legislation enacted in September 2011. This change only relates to faculty members. As a result please forward this message to the faculty members in your School/Department and appropriate administrative staff who may assist faculty with travel reimbursement so that they are aware of the re-introduction of per diems for their university related business travel.
