Dear Chairs and Directors,
Elections to both the DHC and DEC should have been completed by May 15 and a newly appointed chair of each committee elected by May 31. As noted in previous correspondence dated April 3, it is the responsibility of the newly appointed Chair of these committees to report the memberships, by June 15 to the Dean, to the Vice Provost, Faculty Affairs and to the Association.
We have updated our website so that you or a delegated staff member in your office may report the names of each committee directly by going to http://www.ryerson.ca/teaching/committees/index.html.
Please also note that a brief report is to be prepared by the Chairs/Directors of the School / Department and sent to the Dean, the VPFA and the Association explaining how the appointments to the committee shall take into account the University's equity, diversity and inclusion obligations and/or shall attempt to expand the fields of expertise of the committee. Please also copy our office e-mail address vpfa@ryerson.ca. A checkbox is also provided on the above web page which will confirm that this report has been submitted.
For those of you who have already submitted an e-mail to our office regarding the memberships of these committees, we have posted the names onto the website for you. For all other departments and schools, may I ask that you please complete the above noted process by June 15.
