Dear colleagues,

In the recent round of collective bargaining, the parties agreed to a provision that faculty would be provided their teaching schedules not less than two months prior to the commencement of the term. Unfortunately, the deadline for student pre-registration did not close until October 15 and in order to input several hundred student intentions as well as accommodate departmental and Faculty requests to add additional courses and sections, the distribution of draft schedules for the “white space review” will occur on October 29, with final teaching schedules for Winter 2013 being distributed to faculty members on November 15.

I would like to apologize for this delay. We are working with University Scheduling and Academic Departments to ensure that the release of teaching schedules for subsequent teaching terms will comply with the collective agreement requirements.
