UNDERGRADUATE COURSE DEVELOPMENT

2001, renewed 2004 Professional Certification for Ryerson students graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Management. Obtained approval from the Financial Planners Council to be a registered course provider for the Certified Financial Planners program so graduates can write the national CFPTM exam after completing the required courses.

2003 Certificate in Financial Planning in Continuing Education. Obtained approval from the Financial Planners Council to be a registered course provider for the Certified Financial Planners program so graduates in the Certificate can write the national CFPTM exam.

1999 – 2004 FIN 512 Risk Management and Insurance. Developed course materials to both supplement 33% of two American textbooks to Canadianize them and to meet the requirements of the CFPTM exam material. See "Lifetime Summary – Books" below.

2000 – 2005 FIN 612 Retirement and Estate Planning. Developed course materials in the absence of any Canadian textbook in order to both meet the requirements of the CFPTM national exam material and to provide a theoretical framework at a univeristy level for this exam material. 2001 – present FIN 812 Advanced Personal Financial Planning. Developed a series of handouts that summarizes all the CFPTM national exam requirements to provide course materials, again, in the absence of a Canadian textbook.
