What type of student are you?
Full-time-you have a maximum of eight years to complete your 42 course degree requirement. You are restricted to a maximum of 7 courses a semester.
Part-time-you have a maximum of fourteen years to complete your 41 course degree requirement. You are restricted to three courses per semester.
Advanced standing/Transfer student- you have completed one or more years at another accredited post-secondary institution or at Ryerson, you may be eligible for Advanced Standing (admission to a level higher than first year/semester) and/or for Transfer Credit.
Direct Entry Full-time and Part-time -you have received Direct Entry (advanced standing) into the third year of our program. This means that you have already declared a Major/Plan to complete your degree and will be responsible for completing all of the courses in semesters 5-8 and pre-determined reachbacks.
Special Business student-you have completed an undergraduate degree and are now pursuing an accounting designation.

For your information, prior to enrollment as a Special Business Student, you must have completed the prerequisite or a university level equivalent for the course(s) you wish to enroll into (Please note that due to high demand from existing students, not all courses may be available).
PLEASE NOTE: ACC703 and ACC801 have reached enrollment capacity, and are NOT accepting Special Business Students.

ACC 801: Intermediate Cost and Management Accounting

ACC 414 -Intermediate Accounting I
ACC 803: Advanced Management Accounting

ACC 821: Advanced Auditing
Prerequisite:
ACC 521 -Auditing
BUS 800: Strategic Management
Prerequisite:
FIN 401 –Managerial Finance II
Direct-Entry Students
If you want to earn a BComn degree after receiving a 3-year CAAT diploma in Business Administration and you've met the admission requirements, you can qualify to become a Direct-Entry student. To learn more about this, visit the Direct-Entry section of this site.
