Terry Fox Run
What a perfect day it was on Sunday September 17, 2006 to hold the annual Terry Fox Run. The sky was blue, the sun was shining and the air temperature was comfortably warm. It appeared that there would be a record turnout this year at the Wilket Creek run site where the Hospitality and Tourism Management program participates every year thanks to the throngs of student volunteers. As it turned out, it was the second best to last year's run on the twenty-fifth anniversary of Terry's courageous attempt to run across Canada. Almost thirteen million dollars was raised throughout Canada this past year with three hundred and seventy-five thousand dollars being generated from the Wilket Creek site. Thanks to the students, staff, faculty and some personal friends of mine the School's contribution was twenty four hundred dollars. Thank you again for all your support.
