World Tourism Day
Since 1980, the World Tourism Organization (based in Madrid, Spain) has commemorated World Tourism Day on September 27th of each year, to foster awareness among the international community of the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic values.
In 2003, students from the Ted Rogers School of Hospitality and Tourism Management presented the inaugural World Tourism Day at Ryerson University. This year’s World Tourism Day will be held on Tuesday, September 27th. This is a great opportunity to volunteer and get involved!
