Faculty and Staff

Hospitality and Tourism Management's complement of academic staff includes a director, eleven full-time faculty, and a number of part-time faculty members, supported by a team of administrative staff. The Ted Rogers School of Hospitality and Tourism Management is focused on teaching and learning excellence. We emphasize the highest standards of teaching ability reinforced by a combination of scholarship and relevant business experience. All faculty have considerable industry experience, past and current, that contributes to the applied nature, relevance, and currency of the HTM curriculum.

All the activities of HTM faculty - in research, in the advancement of technology and in interactions with the business community - lead back to the classroom. Our teaching focus is the basis of our strength and differentiated appeal. We place a high value on faculty who undertake externally driven research that can make a substantial contribution to curriculum through the advancement of knowledge in the field. But unlike many other universities, we also give equal importance to faculty members whose depth of industry experience enriches the real-world dimension of our program.

All faculty members belong to one or more industry associations. Faculty regularly work with industry in a consulting capacity, both formal and informal, on matters where their expertise and contacts are of value.
