In January 2012 Liz assumed the role of Associate Dean, Academic Undergraduate Programs for Ted Rogers School of Management, overseeing the curriculum for all undergraduate business programs. As well her position will develop a management education portfolio for the faculty and establish the marketing strategy and program for all of TRSM.
Liz joined Ryerson University in 2004 as Director, Ted Rogers School of Retail Management and an Associate Professor. Having enjoyed a career in both retail management and industry consulting, she brings significant years of industry experience and passion for this dynamic field.
Prior to joining the school she spent 4 years at the Art Gallery of Ontario, most recently as Deputy Director, Retailling Enterprises - overseeing both the retail and food and beverage operations of AGO. Liz'a retail career began at Fairweather, a division of Dylex Limited. During her 8 years with the company she implemented market research and market focused planning to the organization in her role as Executive Director of Marketing.
As a principal of her own consulting firm, Liz worked with a broad range of retailers from Mr. Transmission to Holt Renfrew. She also had the opportunity to work with Ryerson University in coordination with the Eaton Chair of Retailing and the Centre for the Study of Commerial Activity during the development of the Retail Learning Initiative.
Elizabeth Evans holds her Ph.D Marketing from Stirling University in Scotland. She is a graduate of York University, B.A. Psychology with an M.B.A. from Queen's University.
