Background

Frances has worked with a number of post-secondary institutions in the development and delivery of innovative programs, including the development of the Retail Management degree and the Training and Development Certificate program at Ryerson University. She is also a co-recipient of a McConnell Award for her work on E-Mentors in Retail Strategy and the designer of Managing Service Excellence, a province-wide service quality training program for the Ontario Tourism Education Corporation.

Frances was a Faculty Associate in the Ryerson Learning & Teaching Office, providing support for faculty development needs. In addition, as the Manager-Education Services, Ontario for Athabasca University, she represents Canada's Open University in partnerships with other universities, colleges and organizations. These partnerships assess the distance education needs of diverse learning groups and result in the alignment of programs and services.

She is also the principal of a training and development consulting business which has been providing consulting services for over 20 years to organizations that want help with the ways that people learn and work.


Academic Credentials

Frances received her BComm from the University of Guelph and an MA from Central Michigan University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. through the Open University in the U.K.
