Retail Management - Entrance Awards


The following awards are available to students who are entering their first year of the Retail Management program at Ryerson.

(Please note: the information presented below may be subject to change.)

  • Hudson's Bay Company Award (x2)
    $1000 - For students from high school entering their first year of the program.
  • Loblaws Supermarkets Award (x2)
    $1000 -  For students from high school entering their first year of the program. 
  • Sears Canada Award (x2)
    $1000 - For students from high school entering their first year of the program.
  • Wal-Mart Canada Award (x2)
    $1000 - For students from high school entering their first year of the program.
  • Petro Canada Scholarship (Renewable)
    $3000 - For the student entering first year with the highest average in 6 best grade 12 U/M courses.
  • STAPLES Business Depot Scholarship (Renewable)
    $2500 - For a student entering first year with the second highest average in best 6 Grade 12 U/M courses.

The following awards are open to retail students entering first year as well as those already in the program who demonstrate outstanding potential to succeed in the retail industry.

  • George Wong Scholarship
    $1250 - For a first or second-year student demonstrating excellence in leadership and contribution to the quality of student life.
  • Donna Smith Award
    $1100 - For outstanding potential to succeed in the Retail Industry with a min GPA of 3.00 or final high school grades with a min average of 75%.
  • Lenscrafter Award 
    $1100 - To a student of the Ted Rogers School of Retail Management program with a min GPA of 3.00 or final high school grades with a min average of 75%, who demonstrate the ability, interest and/or motivation to succeed in the Retail Industry.
  • W.C. Kitchen Award
    $1000 - To a student with a min GPA of 3.00 or final high school grades with a min average of 75%, who has demonstrated ability, interest and/or motivation to succeed in the Retail Industry.
