Learning Resources

The Ted Rogers School of Retail Management and the wider Ryerson campus community offer many resources for academic support - from tip sheets and workshops to staff and faculty - students are encouraged to seek out every opportunity to improve their studies.

The following are some quick links to key tools and resources:

  1. Getting Started with RAMSS
    - from reviewing course time tables to monitoring student fees, you'll need to know your way around the RAMSS website
  2. Learning Support Services - Division of Student Services
    - practice with mock exams for accounting or stats, find tutors and study tips with an LSS office located on the 8th floor (TRS-2-168)
  3. Academic Integrity
    - every student is responsible for academic integrity and understanding what it really means.
  4. Retail Math
    - review the basic formulas you'll need to know before moving ahead with courses in buying.
  5. Library Guide
    - libraries aren't just about books anymore but include online databases of journal articles, news paper clippings, and more.  Knowing how to search these sources will be key to many of your courses.
  6. Teamwork Tips
    - retailing and management in general both require "people skills" and understanding how to work with others is not only required in some courses but is a key factor in the hiring decisions of employers.
  7. Writing Centre
    - find tip sheets, drop in tutoring, and one-on-one appointments to help improve your essay writing.
  8. English Language Support
    - services and non-credit programs to support students who use English as an additional language.
  9. Access Centre
    - accommodation services and support for students with disabilities to achieve academic success.
  10. Centre for Student Development and Counselling
    - access resources or make an appointment with a career / academic / or personal counsellor.
