Student Awards

The students at the Ted Rogers School of Management (TRSM) at Ryerson University continue to inspire staff and faculty with their drive to create, innovate and succeed. To recognize student excellence, TRSM and Ryerson offer many awards and scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students. Students are eligible at several levels: faculty-wide, program-specific and university-wide.

  • The Ted Rogers School of Management Undergraduate Entrance Awards are available to students entering their first year of the Business Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Information Technology Management or Retail Management program. To be eligible for the one-time award, students must have a minimum 85 per cent average in their final year of high school, and demonstrate financial need and leadership in extracurricular activities or community involvement. There are four awards available annually, at a value of up to $10,000 each.
  • The Ted Rogers School of Management Renewable Undergraduate Awards are available to students entering their first year of the Business Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Information Technology Management or Retail Management program with a minimum 85 per cent average in their final year of high school, who also demonstrate financial need and leadership in extracurricular activities or community involvement. There are four awards available annually, at a value of up to $10,000 each. The award will be renewed for up to three additional years if the student maintains their academic standing (up to a total value of $40,000 per student).
  • The Ted Rogers School of Management Business Leadership award recognizes the academic achievement and exceptional leadership of a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in a Bachelor of Commerce degree. The award is available to students entering their second, third or fourth year of the full-time undergraduate Bachelor of Commerce degree.
  • The Ted Rogers School of Management Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships are available to students that will commence their full-time undergraduate studies at the Ted Rogers School of Management in the coming fall semester. Students must be enrolled in the Accounting & Finance, Business Management, Business Technology Management, Hospitality & Tourism Management, or Retail Management program.  The actual amount of the award will be dependent upon the income generated by the endowment throughout the previous year, as well as Ryerson University‚Äôs policy on endowment disbursement rates.
  • The Ted Rogers School of Management Graduate Entrance awards are available to MBA and MMSc applicants who have applied to full-time graduate studies at the Ted Rogers School of Management. The one-time award is based on demonstrated academic achievement, extracurricular involvement in the community, work experience and unmet financial need. There are ten awards available annually, at a value of up to $20,000 each.
  • The Dr. Carole Chauncey Award is available to undergraduate students in the Business Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Information Technology Management, Accounting and Finance or Retail Management program. To be eligible for the award, students must identify as a Black woman, demonstrate financial need and submit a letter (750 words or less) that outlines community involvement, academic and career aspirations and how the award might assist in achieving those goals. There is one award, with a value of $1,000.
  • The Ryerson University Business Alumni Association (RUBAA)/Ken Jones Award is available to 3rd and 4th year undergraduate students in the Business Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Information Technology Management, Accounting and Finance or Retail Management program. The award is based on demonstrated academic achievement and leadership contributions to TRSM and the greater Toronto community. There is one award, with a value of $1,000.

    University-wide awards are open to all current Ryerson University students enrolled in any program of study.
