LOWER PRINTING FEES
Effective September 2011, the fee for printing on the black & white lab printers is reduced to 7 cents per page.
DOUBLE-SIDED PRINTING IS NOW THE DEFAULT ON LAB PRINTERS
To support Ryerson's sustainability initiatives, and in response to student requests, CCS has introduced double-sided (duplex) printing as the default setting on all self-serve printers in the Academic Computing Labs. From now on, if you wish to print single-sided, you must specify this when you print. To see how to do this, please click here.
MICROSOFT OFFICE 2010 NOW AVAILABLE IN LABS
Microsoft Office 2010 is now installed in all Academic Computing Labs for your convenience.

TRS Lab Descriptions
TRS 2-006 || TRS 2-148 || TRS 2-154 || TRS 3-148 || TRS 3-150 || TRS 3-154 || TRS 3-180 ||
TRS 3-180 Computer Workroom
This large general-purpose lab is available for student drop-in use during the posted hours. It contains ninety-one Dell Optiplex 760 PCs with 3.0 GHz Core 2 Duo E8400 processors, 4 GB RAM, 8X DVD +/- RW, 160 GB hard drives (temporary storage only) and 19-inch LCD monitors. Seven empty spaces are available for students who wish to bring their own notebook computers and work alongside others in the lab. Two black-and-white laser printers and one colour laser printer are available for student use on the OneCard print release system.
The Student Technology Help Desk is located at the round desk (a.k.a. "Donut") near the main entrance to the lab. The Help Desk is staffed whenever the lab is open, look for the bright orange T-shirts that say "Tech Support". Software Advisors (green T-shirts) are also available from September-April to assist with more in-depth software issues.
TRS 3-154 Notebook Workroom
This room provides desk space, power outlets and wireless network access for up to fifty students using their own notebook computers. A black-and-white print station is available for your convenience. This room is open anytime the building is open.
TRS 3-148 and TRS 3-150 High Performance Computing Labs
Each room contains fifty Dell Optiplex 960 PCs with 3.16 GHz Core 2 Duo E8500 processors, 8 GB RAM, 16X DVD +/- RW, two 250 GB hard drives and 20-inch LCD monitors. These workstations are suitable for multimedia and high performance computing applications. A black-and-white print station is available in each lab. Limited drop-in hours are available in 3-150.
TRS 2-006, TRS 2-148 and TRS 2-154
General purpose computer classrooms, with limited drop-in hours from September-April based on class schedules and demand. TRS 2-006 and TRS 2-148 each contain fifty computers, while TRS 2-154 contains sixty-four computers. Systems are Dell Optiplex 760 PCs with 3.0 GHz Core 2 Duo E8400 processors, 4 GB RAM, 8X DVD +/- RW, 160 GB hard drives (temporary storage only) and 19-inch LCD monitors (same as in TRS 3-180). One black-and-white print station is available in each lab.
