Live and breathe theatre at Ryerson University

Ryerson University's Theatre School houses, under one roof, Bachelor of Fine Arts programs in: Performance Acting, Performance Dance, and Performance Production.

These three programs prepare you for professional opportunities in the entertainment industry - including theatre, television, and film - and the arts education community. You are also prepared for post-graduate studies.

Five Key Ingredients

Building your passion for acting, dance, or technical production into a career takes five key ingredients found at the School. No other Canadian theatre program offers all five:

Drawing from Canada's rich theatrical milieu, centered in Toronto, the School offers training under the guidance of a wide variety of working artists who teach, coach one-to-one, and direct.

Delivered by a faculty with extensive professional experience and a passion for student development, the program has earned widespread respect throughout the national dance community. Rigorous daily professional training in three dance disciplines - ballet, modern, and jazz - is combined with related studies in improvisation, composition, theory, history, and anatomy.

Follow the Northern Lights Project

This summer three friends will be driving across North America in a school bus with a mission: to see a little bit of the world and make it just a little bit better. Join two of our Acting program grads and a friend as they volunteer along the way and film a documentary of their experience.
