I consider sharing my research by working with the media to be an important aspect of my work as an associate professor. While publishing in academic journal is essential to a successful academic career, knowledge dissemination to the citizens, companies and governments who fund my research is one of the ways I choose to make a broader societal contribution.

By sharing my insights with the media, I have deepened my understanding of the implications of my research, expanded my research network and been contacted for research projects and opportunities that might not have been made available to me.

I would like to thank TRSM and Ryerson’s media relations for their help over the past four years of being interviewed by the media for public presentation, or as a background source. They support your throughout the process from providing you with media training to proposing story ideas that feature your research.
