  • English/Anglais (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred)
  • Advanced Functions (MHF4U)
  • Two of: Biology (SBI4U), Chemistry (SCH4U) or Physics (SPH4U)
  • The minimum grade(s) required in the subject prerequisites (normally in the 65-70% range) will be determined subject to competition.

Biology (SBI4U) is strongly recommended for Biology students, Chemistry (SCH4U) is strongly recommended for Chemistry students, and Physics is recommended for all Bachelor of Science programs.

Students who are admitted into the Bachelor of Science without declaring a program choice (Undeclared) must seek admission to one of Biology, Chemistry, Contemporary Science, Mathematics and its Applications or Medical Physics during second semester, and transfer by the start of third semester.

Undeclared Program of Study

(Semesters One and Two)

The four-year degree programs in Biology, Chemistry, Contemporary Science, Mathematics and its Applications and Medical Physics share a common first-year foundation, in which students acquire breadth in the sciences, followed by three years of a specific program of study. Students who are initially undecided about which one of these programs best matches their interests and goals may be admitted as Undeclared.

The common first-year foundation gives Undeclared students time to explore each of the five program areas before applying to the program of their choice. In addition to BSc foundation courses, your first-year studies will include an introduction to the use of computers as scientific tools, and an orientation course that will support you in making a successful transition to university and planning your steps to degree completion.

Students who have already decided which of the five degree programs they are interested in should apply to these programs directly:
Biology
Chemistry
Contemporary Science
Mathematics and its Applications
Medical Physics
