Performance Measures
Ryerson University makes extensive use of performance indicators and statistics to gauge success in achieving goals and objectives and to foster improvement. Several sets of indicators have been developed for specific purposes. This webpage is a depository for the latest editions of the Ryerson Performance Indicators, Ryerson Progress Indicators and Related Statistics, and the MTCU Key Performance Indicators.
Ryerson Performance Indicators
The Ryerson Performance Indicators are annually updated measures of University performance in areas of particular interest to the Board of Governors. They are presented in a graphical manner to facilitate interpretation and are classified into four primary categories that correspond to oversight of: Strategic Direction, Financial Capacity, Effective Management, and University Profile.
Ryerson Progress Indicators and Related Statistics
The Progress Indicators and Related Statistics inform the integrated academic planning processes at the University, faculty and departmental levels on a wide array of issues. Updated annually for the Senate, they are intended to improve the University's ability to follow and project trends related to academic objectives, enable the evaluation of progress over time, and provide a statistical profile of Ryerson and its academic evolution.
MTCU Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
The Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are measures developed and used by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) in its annual allocation of performance-based funding to universities. They provide information by program area on graduation rates, employment rates and OSAP loan default rates.
