Dr. James Li

Dr. James Li is a professor in Civil Engineering at Ryerson University in Canada. teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses in environmental engineering. James graduated with a BASc in Civil Engineering and a MASc in Hydraulic Engineering from the University of Windsor, and a PhD in Environmental Engineering at University of Toronto in Canada. 

Dr. James Li organized a successful Right-of-Way Low Impact Development (LID) Workshop at Ryerson in July 2015. The workshop underscored the need to recognize and mitigate stormwater flows in all four seasons including winter and spring time. The workshop presented research undertaken in the former City of Etobicoke, a planning and design manual, construction and maintenance challenges, and the perspectives of MOECC, TRCA, Toronto Water, and private industry.
