Saeed Zolfaghari
Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Zolfaghari is Professor and the Director of the Industrial Engineering Program at Ryerson University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Ottawa in 1997 and joined Ryerson University in 1999. His primary research interest is productivity improvement of production, business and traffic/transportation operations through proper use of resources and optimization of operation conditions. Dr. Zolfaghari has a broad knowledge in the areas of simulation and computational intelligence. Other areas of his research include cellular manufacturing systems, supply chain management, traffic/transportation planning and scheduling. His research has been funded by several external agencies and companies that include: NSERC, GEOIDE, MMO, CITO, and WSIB.
