Research interests

Within Geographic Information Science, my research contributes to the development of novel decision support methods for both, experts and the general public. My goal is to enhance mapping and analysis functions in GIS to support “visual thinking” and to facilitate evidence-based decision-making. An important aspect of my research approach are interdisciplinary collaborations through which I transfer and adapt established analysis methods to new domains and new technological platforms.
