The city of Amman

Amman is the capital and sits astride many centuries. The city's modern buildings blend with remnants of ancient civilizations. Anyone visiting Amman for the first time will be surprised above all by the hills. Amman lies on a high plateau of 850m. Built originally on seven hills, the main areas of Amman gain their names from the hills on whose slopes they lie. It is only 45 minutes drive from the lowest point on Earth (Dead See). It is famous for its historic Greek, Roman, Byzantine, and Islamic eras. The weather in Jordan during the conference period is pleasant and perfect spring weather with temperatures ranging from 10°C and 23°C.
