The principal activities of my research are for measurement of soil parameters for geotechnical design and analysis from laboratory and field tests, application of geotechnical knowledge to practice.

My principal fields of interest include underground excavation and tunneling, soil-structural interaction, urban geotechnology, physical modeling with transparent soil, and numerical simulation.

Additional activities are in post-graduate education and training in geotechnical engineering. I am actively recruiting graduate students to join my research team.
