Midwifery Education Program
Admission Requirements
Admission into the Ryerson Midwifery Program is reserved for applicants who meet all requirements and satisfy the academic regulations of Ryerson University. It is recommended that applicants have completed at least one year of post-secondary education prior to application.
Meeting the minimum academic admission requirements does not guarantee admission. Offers of Admission are granted to the best-qualified candidates based on the information available at the time of application review. The required Personal Letter (see “How to Apply”) will not be reviewed if the applicant has not satisfied the minimum academic admission requirements.
The application deadline is February 1. All required documents must be received by Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment by this date. Required documents include:
- Application via the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC);
- Officially certified academic transcripts from secondary and all post-secondary institutions previously and/or currently attending (all transcripts must be submitted regardless if the program of study was successfully completed);
- Midwifery Cover Sheet;
- Ryerson Midwifery Supplementary Application Form; and
- Personal Letter
Applications received after February 1st will not be considered. All required documents (including academic transcripts) must be received by Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment before an applicant's file can be deemed complete and ready for review. There is no guarantee that documents submitted beyond the deadline date will be reviewed. For complete application instructions, visit “How to Apply”.
For those applicants who are still registered in required subjects as of February 1st, interim grades must be submitted by February 1st and courses must be completed by June 30th. Please indicate courses in progress in section B of the Midwifery Supplementary Application Form (see "How to Apply" to download this form).
