My research focus: Laser Micro-Manufacturing
Research in laser micromanufacturing is highly
interdisciplinary. I am looking for graduate students with various backgrounds
to conduct projects in the following areas:
fundamentals of heat/energy transfer in laser
materials interaction, in particularly, ultrashort pulsed laser-matter
interactions, ultrashort laser induced phase change and materials
removal in submicron and nanometer scale.
laser based manufacturing, including fabrications
of micro and nano structures, components, and systems (MEMS/NEMS),
with special attention to aerospace microsystems, such as micro-thrusters,
micro sensors and actuators.
