![]()
About a week after the appearance of the initial lesion,
there was an acute onset of fever, chills, sweating, backache and headache,
followed in 2 to 4 days by a generalized maculopapular and papulo-vesicular
rash. The acute symptoms and rash lasted
about 1 week to 10 days. No
complications and no deaths.

WHAT does the information about the onset times indicate about the cause of the outbreak? Can you make any inference about possible etiologies or routes of infection at this stage? VEHICLE? CONTACT? VECTOR? LET'S LOOK AT THE INCUBATION PERIOD Now we look at the people and their characteristics ...
What does this suggest?
