As nanotechnology advances toward making lighter, very strong materials, our computer devices will integrate closely with the body and our clothes. Carbon nanotubes, the nanoscale building blocks, strive to become utterly weightless and utterly strong (i.e., exponentially stronger than steel). By striving for incredibly light materials, we introduce a completely new range of potential inventions.

11/2/2008 > “Buckypaper” is 10 times lighter but potentially 500 times stronger than steel. Researchers at Florida State University have created a buckypaper prototype. Dr. Ben Wang, director of Florida State's High-Performance Materials Institute, is quoted as saying in one article "Nanotubes obviously are no longer just lab wonders. They have real world potential. It's real."
