Dr. Jonathan Farrar
Jonathan Farrar is an Associate Professor of Accounting. He received his Ph.D. from the Schulich School of Business, York University, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with domestic and international tax experience. At TRSM, he teaches courses in personal and corporate taxation.
His research seeks to understand individual taxpayers’ behaviours, such as compliance, voluntary disclosure, and whistleblowing decisions, using insights from psychology. His research has been supported by SSHRC, CPA Canada, and the Centre for Accounting Ethics at the University of Waterloo. He is also an Associate Research Fellow at the Tax Administration Research Centre, University of Exeter (UK).
