Tenure Track Positions in Architecture, Building Science & Project Management

October 26, 2020

We invite applications for each of the three following full-time tenure-stream positions at the rank of Assistant Professor in:

  • Architecture
  • Building Science
  • Project Management

Architecture, Building Science and Project Management are each concentrations offered in the final year of the Department of Architectural Science after a rigorous three year integrated undergraduate Bachelor of Architectural Science Program. Toronto Met DAS engages in the strong tradition of experiential, studio-based architectural education and is one of only 11 professional programs accredited by the Canadian Architectural Certification Board (CACB).

DAS also offers Graduate Programs in Architecture (MArch.) and Building Science (Ph.D., M.A.Sc., M.B.Sc.).

The Master of Architecture program focuses on three areas of interest: Global Communities, Emerging Technologies, and Sustainable Design. Students complete an intensive thesis based on rigorous scholarly and emerging design research practices.

The DAS Building Science graduate program (Ph.D., M.A.Sc., M.B.Sc.), the first of its kind at its inception, has already emerged as a differentiator for the University and continues to be a leader amongst building science programs across Canada.

A Masters in Project Management (M.A.Sc, M.PM) in the Built Environment program is being launched in 2022 to prepare design and construction professionals for rapidly emerging methods and technologies in the design, construction and/or operation phases of buildings in the context of the climate crisis.

At the intersection of mind and action, Toronto Met is on a transformative path to become Canada’s leading comprehensive innovation university. At Toronto Met and within our department, we firmly believe that equity, diversity and inclusion are integral to this path; our current academic plan (opens in new window)  outlines each as core values and we work to embed them in all that we do.
