Léon Spikker (external link, opens in new window)  is a Dutch computational designer with a background in industrial design and architecture. As co-founder of the architecture firm Studio RAP (Rotterdam) and its spin-off RAP Technologies, he has been at the forefront of bringing digital design and robotic fabrication to building practice. He's currently working with the sustainable home-builder In The Middle of Our Street (external link)  (Amsterdam) to apply these techniques to affordable housing. Through a couple of projects, he'll show how these new techniques could be the future of the building industry.
