Each year, Ryerson University and the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science (FEAS) offer numerous entrance scholarships to incoming students who are accepted into an engineering program. The university and the Department of Architectural Science also offer awards for students that continue studies in their respective programs after first year. There are unique eligibility criteria for each of the entrance scholarships and the awards available to current students. More information on this can be found below.

Craig Race Model Award For an undergraduate student who is currently enrolled full-time in 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year who demonstrates creativity and technique in the building of the architectural scale model.
Craig Race Passive Sustainability Design Award For an undergraduate student who is currently enrolled full-time in 1st, 2nd, 3rd or4th year who demonstrates creativity in the use of passive design strategies in a studio project to improve its sustainability.
Creative Infill Design Award This award will have demonstrated, through submission of a studio project, a high level of design merit that incorporates creative, thoughtful, and sustainable strategies in an urban infill project.

 

FCCP (Ont) Education Foundation Architecture Award

For an undergraduate student who has completed 4th year in the Bachelor of Architectural Science degree program, Architecture Option. The Award recognizes excellence in design with a focus on urban planning issues, in a 4th year Architecture Specialization studio.
Fiberglas Canada Inc. Award Award for an undergraduate student who completed 3rd year and is currently enrolled full time in the Department of Architectural Science degree program
Frank Leva Memorial Award Award for an undergraduate student enrolled full time in the Department of Architectural Science.
General Contractor’s Section – T.C.A. Awards
For an undergraduate student who is currently enrolled full-time in the 3rd or 4th year of the Bachelor of Architectural Science degree program. To provide financial assistance and to recognize the academic achievement of full-time students in Architectural Science focusing on Project Management. Two awards will be given to students currently enrolled in 4th year who are in the Project Management stream. Two awards will be given to students currently enrolled in the 3rd year who have taken Project Management courses in the 1st and 2nd years.
Ingenium Group Jack Lemay Memorial Award For an undergraduate student who is currently enrolled full-time in the 4th year of the Bachelor of Architectural Science degree program. The Award recognizes a 4th year full-time undergraduate student enrolled in the Department of Architectural Science who has completed his/her third year in the Architectural Science program, has achieved academic excellence, and, through his/her project, has demonstrated an awareness and accomplishment in excellence, and, through his/her project, has demonstrated an awareness and accomplishment in construction technology.
Jason Fung Architect Inc. Award Dept of Architectural Sciencemorial Award Be registered as a Full-time, Undergraduate student at Ryerson University and have clear academic standing - Be enrolled in the fourth, final or graduating year of the Architectural Sciences degree program - Demonstrate financial need, as determined by Ryerson University, through submission of a Student Budget Form.
Michael C. Miller Award  To be eligible for this award, students must: 1. Be registered as an Undergraduate, Full-time student at Ryerson University and have clear academic standing 2.Be enrolled in the fourth year of the Architectural Science degree program 3.Meet a minimum CGPA of 3.00
Minto Sustainability Award in Architectural Science TheTo be eligible for this award, students must:
criteria of this award are achievement, initiative and innovation. It will be awarded to the student who has completed third year in the architectural science program and achieved academic excellence.1. Be registered as an Undergraduate, Full-time student at Ryerson University and have clear academic standing 2. Be enrolled in their fourth year of the Bachelor of Architectural Science  3. Complete (ASCS20/ASC620) 3rd year sustainability design studio project
Norm Li Award
For an undergraduate student who is currently enrolled full-time in 3rd or 4th year of the Bachelor of Architectural Science degree program. To recognize students who demonstrate emerging talent in conveying design through 3D architectural visualization. Norm Li wants to build and maintain mutually rewarding relationships so that they can achieve exceptional results for their team and their clients. Through this award they hope to achieve the following objectives: 1. Build awareness of the archviz career path 2. Help prepare students and emerging archviz talent for the workforce 3. Cultivate community of 3D archviz artists 4. Build their employer profile for recruitment of new grads and alumni
Sepp Hannikainen Memorial Award Award for student who is currently enrolled as a full-time student undertaking curriculum based travel outside of Canada and organized by faculty as part of a course or studio taken for credit in the current academic year.
Stewart Crawford Travel Award supported by pellow + associates Up to $1,000 This award is reserved for an undergraduate student enrolled full-time in the Department of Architectural Science who fits the following criteria: 1) Must be taking 100% of the course load and have successfully completed all courses from previous years; 2) Have an academic record of clear standing; 3) Demonstrate overall excellence with a CGPA of 3.00 or higher. The CGPA to be considered will include all the semesters completed at the time of the selection; 4) Submit for the committee’s review a single image, in PDF format. The image may have been produced using any technique or medium. Three-dimensional objects, such as models, are not eligible for this award; 5) The image must have been produced by the student as course work within a course offered by the Department of Architectural Science and taken by the student within the twelve months immediately preceding the application. The scholarship recognizes excellence in image-making within the Architectural Science disciplines. You must also submit a design of a poster representing the work you completed in the studio.
General Contractors' Section - T.C.A. Awards To be eligible for this award that recognizes academic achievement, you must meet the following criteria: 1) be a full-time architectural science student entering into third or fourth year with a focus on project management; 2) be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person; 3) be an Ontario resident; 4) demonstrate financial need; 5) demonstrate overall excellence with a CGPA of 3.00 or higher; 6) demonstrate an interest in project management through the choice of courses undertaken, extracurricular activities and/or through summer work; or provide a reference letter supporting the application from a professor, employer or volunteer organization.
GreenSaver Scholarship in Honour of Roger Algie To be eligible for this award, you must be registered as an undergraduate student at Ryerson University and have clear academic standing. You must also be enrolled as a full-time student in the building science option in fourth year, and have the highest CGPA in third year studies.
IBI Group Architecture Award This award recognizes a student who has completed the fourth year of the architectural science program, demonstrating excellence in the fourth-year architecture option studio.
Industry Supported Architecture Scholarship in Honour of Stewart Crawford For a student currently enrolled in second year of architectural science who has demonstrated best overall academic performance in first year.
Ingenium Group Jack Lemay Memorial Award To be eligible for this award, you must be an undergraduate student in good academic standing who has completed the third year of the program. You must also demonstrate an awareness and accomplishment in construction technology, and have a record of academic excellence as demonstrated by a CGPA of 3.00 or higher.
Ledcor Architecture Scholarship in Honour of Stewart Crawford To be eligible, you must must have completed first year and be enrolled in the second year as a full-time undergraduate student in the Department of Architectural Science. You must also demonstrate academic excellence by attaining the highest overall average in the stated first-year technical courses.
Ledcor Construction Ltd. Award This award is reserved for a student who is enrolled full-time (at the time of award selection) in the third or fourth year program of study in architectural science or civil engineering. It recognizes the combination of extra-curricular contributions in the field of study related to architecture/building/construction.
Matthew and Anne Tomljenovic Awards To be eligible for this award, you must be registered as an undergraduate student at Ryerson University, have clear academic standing, and be enrolled in the architectural science program. (One award is reserved for the student with the highest CGPA average in second year architecture courses. The other is reserved for the student with the highest CGPA in second year building science courses.) You must also be able to demonstrate financial need as determined by Ryerson University through submission of a student budget form.
Ontario Association of Architects Award Two awards recognizing students with the overall highest academic achievement in first, second, third or fourth year of the architectural science program.
Sepp Hannikainen Memorial Awards The Sepp Hannikainen Memorial Award is a financial award to a full-time undergraduate student who has successfully completed the second or third year of the architectural science program. This student must have completed all applicable construction management courses and demonstrate overall academic proficiency.
Stewart Crawford Travel AwardStewart Crawford Travel Award supported by pellow + associates To be eligible for this award, you must be a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in the architectural science program, demonstrate academic achievement with a CGPA of 3.00 or higher, have a clear academic standing, demonstrate financial need, and be undertaking curriculum-based travel. (Curricular travel is defined as "participation in a field trip outside of Canada organized by Ryerson faculty as part of a course or studio taken for credit at Ryerson in the current academic year.")

Ted Libfeld GTHBA Scholarships

  • Up to $500 for best overall performance in the area of management and construction/theory – first year.
  • Up to $500 for second best overall performance in the area of management and construction/theory – first year.
  • Up to $500 for third best overall performance in the area of management and construction/theory – first year.
  • Up to $1000 for best overall performance in the area of management and construction/theory – second year.
  • Up to $1000 for second best overall performance in the area of management and construction/theory – second year.
  • Up to $1000 for third best overall performance in the area of management and construction/theory – second year.
  • Up to $1000 for the best performance by a student who has completed an architecture course with a focus in housing design.
  • Up to $1000 for the best performance by a student who has completed a building course with a focus in housing design.
  • Up to $1000 for the best performance by a student who demonstrates overall academic excellence with a career objective in the housing industry.
Toronto Society of Architects Award This award recognizes an undergraduate student in their final year of studies in the architectural science program who has completed an outstanding project situated in the Toronto/Greater Toronto Area.
WZMH Architects Award For highest overall grade in second-year design studio.
