Our way of life is shaped by the rules of government — but how do we decide on the best way to manage ourselves and our society?These are the fundamental questions of politics — the study of how peoples, cities, and countries organize themselves. Ryerson offers a number of undergraduate opportunities for individuals seeking to know more about how government works while examining the exciting world of politics. Whether you are a "political animal" or just curious about what gives "power" to some people and not others, the Ryerson University Department of Politics and Public Administration invites you to explore the fascinating worlds of Politics, Governance, Public Policy and Public Administration and discover why political thinking touches us all.

Chair Profile

Dr. Gore holds a PhD and MA from the University of Toronto, both in Political Science and Environmental Studies, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences from the University of Guelph. From 2013-16, he served as Undergraduate Program Director for both of the undergraduate programs delivered by the Department.  He became Department Chair in 2016.

Christopher Gore is Associate Professor in the Department of Politics and Public Administration and a member of the Yeates School of Graduate Studies, where he is a graduate associate with the Environmental Applied Science and Management program and the PhD in Policy Studies program.
