Research & Innovation
Leading the way in research and innovation
At the Faculty of Arts, our world-class researchers are developing ground-breaking research that aims to enhance the lives of Canadians and citizens around the world.
With more than 70 researchers and over $18 million in research grants from both the public and private sectors, Faculty of Arts’ award-winning scholars are advancing research in five key academic priorities: democratic engagement; immigration and settlement; health and well-being; equity, justice and social inclusion; and Indigenous governance, self-determination, language and culture.
Faculty members are actively engaged in scholarly activities in fields that have a direct impact on society such as Indigenous rights, democracy, governance and self-determination; electoral systems; immigration policy; equity and diversity; and children's mental health.
Going beyond the walls of Ryerson, they are partnering with leading community organizations, educational institutions, government agencies and others, both at home and around the world.
