Intro to Information Technology and Society
This course provides a broad introduction to the fundamentals of IT and its impact on and interrelationship with society. Through a combination of lectures, discussion based tutorials, and a research essay, students will emerge with valuable knowledge about the importance of IT in society and its impact on their personal and professional lives. Through self-paced learning, students will gain skills using MS Word and Excel applications which are increasingly important for academic and career success. ITM 277 is not available for credit to students who choose ITM 100 or ITM 102.
