COVID-19 Precautions at Camp

At Ryerson Summer Day Camps, the well-being of our campers and staff is our top priority. That is why we are spending this winter constantly evaluating how and whether we can operate in-person camps safely in 2021.

Throughout the planning process, we follow the most up-to-date guidance from the Ministry of Health for how to provide programming to children & youth that minimizes risk. As of this writing, the most recent version of that guidance from the Ministry of Health is PDF fileCOVID-19 Guidance: Summer Day Camps, external link, opens in new window.

Currently, it appears extremely likely that any in-person programs in 2021 will include some or all of the following safety measures:

  • Small groups of campers with limited interaction between groups
  • Mandatory use of masks for campers & staff
  • Daily screening for risk of exposure to COVID-19

This page will be updated as soon as up-to-date guidance is available for the 2021 season. To be the first to know about any updates to programming, please join our mailing list, external link, opens in new window.
