Career & Job Fairs

Increase your profile on campus, build student-employer relationships, and engage with prospective candidates.

Career Fairs for the 2016 /17 academic year include:

Case Competitions

Case competitions run throughout the academic year and are a great way to evaluate the problem solving, teamwork and presentation skills of pre-qualified Ryerson students.   Employers are engaged to act as judges and encouraged to utilize the event to network and recruit students.

Career Mentoring

Mentoring is an excellent way to both learn and develop as well as give back, share your experience, and guide students on their career journey.  Members of staff from within the University are also encouraged to apply. The Ryerson Tri-Mentoring Career Mentoring Program will help facilitate your connection with a current Ryerson student.

A Career Mentor is:

  • a guide and adviser to a third/fourth or final year student (Career Mentee), providing insight into a particular industry sector or type of profession

  • provides constructive criticism and encouragement to their mentee as they progress towards their goals

  • culturally sensitive and possesses strong interpersonal skills

Industry Connect Sessions

Reach a targeted group of students on-campus, present in-depth information about your organization’s career opportunities, application methods and culture, and talk to students about an aspect of the recruitment process specific to your industry sector.   

Student registration is tracked and we work with each individual employer to rigorously promote your event by:


  • developing and distributing posters
  • posting event information on our online events calendar
  • social media outreach via Facebook and Twitter
  • building strong relationships with members of faculty, student groups and clubs, and staff across campus
  • sending out e-mail newsletters
  • doing outreach through our department's student ambassadors
  • and many more marketing and promotion methods




  • For profit organizations: $350.00 + HST per day 
  • Non-profit organizations (with less than 30 employees): $100.00 + HST per day

Networking Events

Networking events are organized for specific groups of students and/or alumni and can be degree, program or faculty specific.

On-campus Interviewing

For employers that have posted jobs via Ryerson’s online jobs portal, Magnet (link to , on-campus interviews can be arranged at no additional cost.  

The Career Centre can schedule interviews for Ryerson students and new grads.  Interview rooms can be provided (space permitting) Monday to Thursday, 9 am to 6 pm and until 4:30 pm on Fridays.

Voices of Experience: Panel Discussions

Our Voices of Experience speakers series brings together alumni, employers and community leaders to share their career experiences with students and alumni and network with top talent. Organized by either degrees of study/industry sectors or by equity-seeking group identities, each event brings together up to five guests including our panel moderator.  Held in the late afternoon, the panel discussion is followed by a freestyle networking hour.
